Accessibility statement
Our readers are seniors and their families, so accessibility is not optional here. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA and treat it as a floor, not a target.
Our commitment
Senior Safety Pro aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the site. We consider accessibility part of doing this subject justice, and we test new interactive features — like the cost calculator — against these standards rather than assuming they pass.
What we build in
- Readable text: body text is at least 18px everywhere, with a comfortable line length and line height.
- Strong contrast: body text meets or exceeds a 7:1 contrast ratio; large display type meets at least 4.5:1.
- Keyboard operation: every link, button, form control, and the calculator works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline that is never removed.
- Large targets: buttons and controls are at least 56px tall with clear spacing.
- Zoom: pages reflow at 200% zoom with no horizontal scrolling or clipped text.
- Meaning without color alone: we pair color with a word or an icon.
- Reduced motion: we honor your "reduce motion" setting, and we do not use auto-playing carousels, countdown timers, or pop-ups.
- Images: meaningful images carry descriptive alt text.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never finished. We re-check pages as we add features and welcome reports of anything that is hard to use. Any third-party or partner content we link to is outside our control, but we choose partners with that in mind.
